Greetings from sunny Australia! I’m Josephine, originally from Germany but lucky enough to call Australia home since 2011. The stunning landscapes, vibrant communities, and endless inspiration I’ve found here have completely transformed my journey as a photographer. Every day, I get to wake up and do what I love, creating lasting memories for amazing people like you. In Germany, life felt like a relentless hustle, where work consumed my time and left little room for true happiness.
I knew I wanted something more space to create, connect, and find purpose. Moving to Australia was my leap of faith, and it led me to establish Josephine Carter Photography. More than a business, it’s my passion and purpose. With every photo, I aim to capture stories filled with warmth and authenticity, each frame a testament to the beauty in life’s moments.
My Photographic Journey
With over 12 years of experience, I’ve built a successful and rewarding photography career right here in Townsville. From humble beginnings, I’ve grown into a trusted name in my community, with features in publications like Frankie Magazine, Australian Vogue, and PakMag.
My work extends globally through platforms like Picfair, but what I value most is connection , the joy on a client’s face, the impact a photo can have, and the privilege of mentoring fellow creatives who want to turn their passion into a business.
Competitions were never my focus for me, the real win is happy clients and meaningful work that speaks for itself.

My Philosophy
Life's like a big puzzle, and I'm all about seeing it in a positive light. I believe that everything we go through teaches us something valuable. My choices shape my journey, and what I get out of life is often what I put into it.
When things get tough, I choose to stay hopeful. Sometimes, we can't change a situation, but we can accept them and focus on finding the good in it. Loving and trusting ourselves is key. When we treat ourselves well, We are better able to treat others the same way.
My motto is simple: treat others how I want to be treated. Kindness and understanding can make a big difference in someone's day. So embrace each day with love, openness, and a positive outlook, making our journey through life as bright and fulfilling as possible.
